i am looking for a book on wildflowers of south america...any idea where i can find one?

ANSWER:

Mr Smarty Plants found several texts on plants in South America at Kew Books Online. Go to their website and type South America in the search field. Wild Flowers of the Chapada Diamantina looks like the most promising guide.
