Photographer: Cressler, Alan
County: Murray State: GA Location Notes: Carters Lake the Hidden Pond Songbird Trail, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Reregulation Dam Recreation Area. Editor's note: This plant cannot be identified as Thaspium chapmanii in NPIN until USDA Plants recognizes it as an accepted taxon. "Chapman's Meadow Parsnip, Thaspium chapmanii, was once recognized as a species but then got lumped into Thaspium barbinode. Max Medley says he revived the species in his doctoral dissertation on the Flora of Kentucky. He says bloom times are different as well as flower color. Thaspium barbinode has yellow flowers and Thaspium chapmanii has cream colored flowers." -- Alan Cressler Accession date: 2014-06-19 Filename: A_C_IMG0175.JPG Slide Index: 14233262813_0a47d51315_o.jpg Restrictions: Unrestricted Collection: Wildflower Center Digital Library
