Native Plants
Stewart, Sara
Sara Stewart put herself through nursing school straight out of high school, and she worked as a nurse in Austin, Texas, for over 40 years. Now retired, Sara sees her nature photography as an extension of her lifetime of caring for others. She shares her nature photographs with family and friends, believing that Nature’s beauty imparts peace and healing. Sara especially enjoys photographing the beauty she finds while on nature walks around her home city of Austin, Texas. She discovered and photographed Bidens tripartita on the grounds of the Laguna Gloria Art Museum on Lake Austin. Sara credits her mother for her proud career as a nurse, and also for her love of photography. In retirement, Sara looks forward to spending more time outdoors, photographing and sharing the beauty of Texas."The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is committed to developing the premier resource for native plant images in North America through continued growth of the Plant Image Gallery.
