Native Plants
Moore, James H.
James H. Moore grew up in rural Tennessee on his family’s farm, working in the fields and hiking in the woods. A civil engineer by profession, he and his wife are currently documenting wildflowers and other natural resources on their property, as they begin the process of transitioning the family farm to organic, no-till methods. While all that keeps him very busy, sometimes he likes to take photos of pretty flowers to share with his wife, though she is, by far, his favorite subject to photograph.“I’m no photographer,” he laughs, “but she says I’m getting better at it. She also says ‘practice makes perfect.’”
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is committed to developing the premier resource for native plant images in North America through continued growth of the Plant Image Gallery. You can help us achieve our mission ...to increase the sustainable use and conservation of native wildflowers, plants, and landscapes... by becoming a contributor.
