Location: W side of Holbrook Rd, 200 m N of Rittiman Rd, San Antonio.Latitude: 0.000000
Habitat: Full sun; in broad drain into Salado Creek. Rooted in mud, under shallow, slow flowing, fresh water. Among other palustrine plants.
Description: Perennial in colonies from creeping rhizomes. Culms near terete, to 8 cm thick x 1.5 m tall, septate at intervals of 5-50 mm. Leaves few as basal sheaths. Bracts few & short. Infloresence of 4-12 glomerules of spikelets, sessile or on peduncles, varying to 5+ cm long. Spikelets 6 mm long.
