Habitat: Full sun. Level, alluvial soil. Several colonies. Among various Poaceae.
Description: Annual; heavily taprooted plus many fiberous roots, erect to 7 dm; striate, w/ascending branches (cutover). Leaves alternate, petiolate, rhombic-ovate, to 3+ cm long, nearly as broad, smaller above, acute to rounded apically, coarsely dentate distally. Inflorescence spicate in glomerules from upper axils; densely farinose. Seed 1 mm broad, black, punctate.
