Habitat: Full sun; nominal moisture; alkaline alluvial soil. On margin of mowed area; endangered locally.
Description: Perennial, 80 cm tall, well branched (stout). Leaves alternate, sessile, lanceolate but distinctly lobed, slightly curving. Petals yellow, to 25+ mm long. Stamens short & long, many. Flowers opening near sunset.
