Habitat: Dry red clay and sand. Full sun. Prosopis dominant in the ares.
Description: Perennial grass from rhizomatous root. Culms 50 cm tall, erect. Panicle 6+ cm x 1 cm thick. Burs numerous, 3 mm long. Bristles 35-60/bur, united basally, greatly unequal, spreading.
