Habitat: Adventitious in disturbed alluvial soil. Above nominal moisture.
Description: Dense tuft from non-rhizomatous roots, 80 cm tall. Culms about 1 mm thick, erect, naked in upper half. Panicles terminal & axillary; branchlets 3-4, 65-70 mm long, ascending, not digitate . Leaves thin, 10 mm broad, tapering to a slender point, glabrous. Spikelets 2.5 mm long, elliptic-obovate, first glume present. Second glume & lemma of lower one w/brown blotches.
