Habitat: Moist, semi-shaded, alluvial soil. Few & scattered.
Description: 45 cm, erect (stiffly) annual, from 9 cm taproot. Glabrous throughout. Leaves opposite, oblong-lanceolate, slightly falcate, rounded both ends, marginally serrate near base and apex, petioled (1 mm), stipitate, cyathia strongly clustered in lateral & terminal glomerules. Appendages round, white. Capsule ovoid, rounded triangular, 1.3 long. Seed ovoid, .5 x 1 mm.
