Habitat: In broad drain into Salado Creek; full sun, mud, among other palustrines.
Description: Achene trigonous. Spikelet axis deciduous as a unit. Culms non-septate. Primary peduncles never bearing an irregular panicle. Stamens-3. Lower leaves w/well developed blades. Achene 1 mm thick, longer than thick, 1.5 mm long. Spikelet axis internodes wingless. Tufted perennial w culms to 7 mm thick, the longer peduncles w/secondary peduncles. Spikelets grayish-ochraceous; achene thickest near apex, long-tapered to base, oblique.
