Habitat: In heavy shade, mud/moist soil of creek bank, often flooded. Few.
Description: Erect perennial, to 50 cm tall, unbranched. Leaves opposite, elliptic-lanceolate, basally cuneate, acute to acuminate at apex, to 55 mm long x 12 mm wide. Inflorescence small recemes in upper axils. Petals lavender blue. Seed numerous.
