Abstract
Measured the effects of fertilizer application and site preparation on the survival and growth of planted Aristida stricta var. beyrichiana in longleaf pine habitat. Survival was 51% after four years. Using older seedlings can increase survival and growth. At measured growth rates, plant maturation will take six years in fertilized plots and eight years in non-fertilized plots. A planting density of one seedling per meter squared is recommended.Suggested Citation
