Abstract
Reports results indicating that Solidago canadensis reaches a threshold size before allocating resources to sexual reproduction. Vegetative mass of S. canadensis was highly correlated with allocations to clonal growth and to reproductive output (beyond the threshold). However, there was no size threshold influencing the allocation to clonal growth. Plants derived from rhizomes allocated fore biomass to sexual reproduction and clonal growth than plants derived from seeds.Suggested Citation
