Abstract
Researches the seed banks and seedling emergence of weed seeds shed in wheat crops. Papaver rhoeas, not native to North America, is considered a weed in agricultural crops and readily escapes cultivation in ornamental settings. The numbers of viable seeds declined rapidly over time; however, P. rhoeas declined least rapidly. Seedling flushes for P. rhoeas occurred in the second and third years following ploughing and seeding of wheat crops.Suggested Citation
