Abstract
Examines the effects of long-term additions of nitrogen and water on Andropogon gerardii and Sorghastrum nutans, codominants in the tallgrass prairie ecosystem. Net photosynthesis and stomatal conductance were greater in S. nutans in response to both water and nitrogen. However, A. gerardii was relatively unresponsive to resource manipulations. This indicates that patterns of abundance of these two species may change if resource availability is altered in the future.Suggested Citation
