Abstract

Evaluates the ability of herbaceous perennials to regrow after being stored as bare-root crowns for six months. Coreopsis grandiflora 'Sunray' was stored at 0 or -2 C, but storage performance was poor at both temperatures due to the growth of surface mold. Asclepias tuberosa was stored at temperatures from -10 to +5 C. Storage temperature did not make a difference for this species except that etiolated growth developed when stored at +2 C and greater temperatures. Although mold was present on this species, it did not reduce regrowth performance.
