Abstract
Examines various patterns of sex expression in eight Dryopteris species, including D. ludoviciana. Gametophytes of this genus are not regularly bisexual. While all species had bisexual, male, and female gametophytes, the proportions of the three varied by species. Additionally, sex expression varies by the age of the culture. Dryopteris ludoviciana was found to have a low percentage of bisexual plants.Suggested Citation
