Abstract
Investigates the use of algae as a substrate to aid germination of four species that occur in dune slacks. These habitats are seasonal freshwater habitats with fluctuating water tables. Germination was low for three of four species (including Rhynchospora colorata) but was still significantly higher in the algae treatment.Suggested Citation
