Abstract
Evaluates the effects of fire on flower production of Serenoa repens. Fire increased flowering dramatically at all sites but especially in long unburned sites. The size of a plant was a strong predictor of whether and how much a plant would flower. Flowering also increased when more light was available. Fertilizing palms (to simulate increased nutrient availability post-fire) did not increase flowering.Suggested Citation
