Abstract
Discusses the chromosomal make-up of Bigelowia nudata and B. nuttallii. The two species can hybridize but offspring have reduced vigor and fertility. The two varieties of B. nudata are hypothesized to be a result of isolation caused by past fluctuations in sea level.Suggested Citation
