Abstract
Researches the systematics of Hibiscus section Muenchhusia, which includes five North American Hibiscus species. Muenchhusia is monophyletic and is embedded in a clade in the tribe Malvavisceae. The five species in the section fall into two clades, one consisting of H. grandiflorus and H. moscheutos and the other including H. coccineus, H. dasycalyx, and H. laevis.Suggested Citation
