Abstract
Examines barriers to hybridization among varieties of Piriqueta caroliniana (now recognized as P. cistoides var. caroliniana) and Piriqueta cistoides through crossing experiments. The varieties of P. caroliniana recognized at the time were able to cross-pollinate and produce fertile offspring.
