Abstract
Wikstroemia skottsbergiana Sparre, a tree in the Thymelaeaceae family, is currently known from one small population in the upper wet forests of Lumaha`i Valley, Kaua`i, Hawai`i. Notes on its distribution, abundance, ecology, and current threats are presented to assist the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) in the endangered species listing process and to aid in conservation efforts. Wikstroemia skottsbergiana falls into the Critically Endangered (CR) category when evaluated under the World Conservation Union (IUCN) criteria for endangerment.Suggested Citation
