Abstract
Evaluates methods to alleviate low seed vigor and seed dormancy in Panicum virgatum for its use in wildflower meadows. Heavy seeds had greater germination than light seeds. Prechilling the seeds following acid scarification and NaOCl treatment nearly doubled the final emergence and increased growth. Storing seeds for 32 months, however, resulted in these treatments being ineffective.Suggested Citation
