Each plant has up to 10 short, flattened stems that grow for several inches along the ground before turning upward and rising 4-16 in. The main leaves are divided 4 times into small, delicate leaflets. Pom-poms of tiny, greenish-yellow flowers cluster at the top of the stems. The flowers appear white because of the abundant fuzzy, white hairs covering the blossoms as well as the flowering stems.
